Welcome

Hey there everyone. We have a new addition to the family! and we have two boys that are growing up before our EYES!!

Devo (name is subject to change), is a 5mo old boxer girl and full of energy! Braydon loves to chase her around the house and backyard. She loves chasing Margie around the house and backyard. Caleb loves watch everyone run around the house and backyard with some sort of snack to turn to when the action gets light.
Poor Margie girl doesn't know what to make of it all. On one hand she loves the friend and when the mood catches her they have a blast. On the other hand....she can not sit down without getting a puppy to jump on her, pull her ears or take a toy. Updates to come on whether we have created friends or foes from this all.

The boys are doing wonderfully! and they are getting so old...so ok, not really old, I guess I should say capable. Brayond is fully potty trained, we have about an accident every other day(usually my fault for not reminding him). He loves his big boy undies and does a great job standing to pee. Caleb has move from a highchair to a booster seat, is using forks, plates and spoons.

On a less fun note Robbie has put in his first request on this blog and it is for me to come clean to everyone.......

Another good week

Howdy Everyone!
Another big week! We had friends visit from out of town for a few nights, Braydon started potty training (a mission!) and Caleb took more steps and started learning body parts!

Natalia and her boyfriend Pedro stayed with us for a few nights this week and it was a blast! they were so good with the boys and crazy generous. The boys each got a new book and some NY stuff! Thank you Natals and come back soon!

Potty training.....wow, his is doing great. Today was the first day of real effort and he had gone tee-tee in the potty 8 times with no accidents!!!!! Yeah!!! i have to say it was Lauren who kick started the whole thing and it was also her method that is finding success. I have been setting the timer and every 20min he sits on the potty and fills it up! I am so impressed, the goal is to stick around the house this weekend and keep the training going so that hopefully by Monday we are TRAINED. Updates to follow

Caleb has not taken any more steps in a row than 3 but he is still working at it. In the evenings we have been reading the baby books that talk about eyes, ears, nose, hands and he is totally catching on. The other day when I said nose and he touched his little nose. Braydon is a really good helper with this game, he touches his own nose and then touches Caleb's and mine. :)

Hope you all enjoy the videos, one is of Braydon's favorite toy from the neighborhood garage sale and the other is them playing with the pacifier.
Miss you all and see you soon.

We have had Big events going on in the Doane house. CALEB TOOK HIS FIRST STEPS!!!! Caleb had his first birthday party and then the following weekend we had Easter!

Caleb's first step was when the fam was hanging out in the living room he was walking around the coffee table and just let go to take two full steps and reached what he wanted. The next day he beat that with three steps strung together when I called to him from where he was in the living room. We will have two walkin boys in no time!

His birthday party was a blast! Great gathering with neighbors, Mary & Steve and Jonny, we ate dino cakes that Braydon and Mrs. Lauren made (they were amazing) and the kids played and played.

The week in between parties was just as fun as the weekends. Mrs. Lauren took the boys to the wildlife park and they saw Zebras, Buffalo, Longhorn, Giraffes, Rhinos and soooo much more. They made great cookies for the party and practiced potty training....great news on that front Braydon went poop in the potty (NOT a small victory). That brings me to a follow up on cloth diapers...these things are amazing. So far no leaks what so ever, easy to clean and I feel like I have saved hundreds of dollars just in the short time they have been using them. Did I mention they are cute?

Easter came and went in a flash! Mom and Dad came in town, Saturday morning the Easter Bunny came (since Rob was going to be gone Sunday) the kids hunted for baskets and were thrilled that the bunny had hopped through their house that night. The next morning was the Easter party we had around 20 kids and 35 parents! It was crazy, Easter eggs were everywhere. The kids were really into it this year and with them all in their Easter duds it was adorable.

Jonny, Jess, Grace and Sammy came in the Monday after Easter and are all still in town. The kids are loving the time together and they are sooo cute. I think Caleb got interested in walking more when he saw Sammy cruisin all over the place. Mom watched all four of them today so I have to take my hat off to that. 4 babies under 3 in one house, 2 with "special" diaper needs, all that have different nap times and 4 that were up two hours past their bedtime the night before (there was a bit of a slumber party upstairs). When I got home the house was clean, laundry was done and the kids were eating dinner.....ummmm...she is my hero.

Mrs. Lauren is going to be in the same boat the rest of the week so Lauren....good luck!

We miss you all and hope to see you soon.
